Walt Rostow

Walt Rostow was one of the chief engineers of the Vietnam fiasco was chairman of the State Department's policy planning council from 1991 until 1966 when he became the National Security Advisor. He has held membership in the CFR since 1955. He was rejected for employment in the Eisenhower administration three times because he could not pass security checks.
