A Century of War
Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order
by William F. Engdahl
Description
This book describes the Anglo, and then the Anglo-American combinations that have formed over the last 200 years. These combinations are centered around the banking industry, governments and oil. Gone are the days of the formal British Empire, colonizing and occupying countries, and now are the days of “informal” empire in which these three institutions have been and continue to be secretly used to devastatingly manipulate world economics and politics. We will not be found guiltless for the destruction we have allowed to be reaped upon the world by our individual idleness, indifference and our worship of things which blinds us to what is really going on.
I don't know of any other book that would better fulfill the commandment to teach each other diligently “...the wars and the perplexities of the nations, and the judgments which are on the land; and a knowledge also of countries and of kingdoms.”
Notwithstanding that I don't agree with his assessment of Adam Smith, I couldn't more highly recommend this book.
